Does Excel Christian Academy require an entrance test?

Admissions decisions are based on many factors and may vary depending upon the grade. The criteria may include the applicant's potential for success in a college preparatory program, academic record, teacher recommendations, student visit, and readiness, but do not include an extrance exam.

What are the school hours?

School hours are 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Excel Christian Academy offers after-school care until 6:00 p.m.

Does Excel offer a lunch program?

Excel Christian Academy qualifies for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) with the National School Lunch program which means ALL students are eligible for FREE breakfast and lunch and those who stay for after-school programming,  qualify for a FREE snack. Parents sign up for student breakfast and lunches at the beginning of each month on Myschoolworx or via hard copy order form.

Are there extended day and before- and after-care enrichment programs offered?

The Extended Day program offers only after-school care each day until 6:00 PM. See Tuition and Fee Schedule for costs. Excel also offers a variety of after-school enrichment activities.

Is there a sibling discount?

A 10% discount is given for each sibling after the first full tuition is paid. Only the sibling discount or the scholarship applies but not both.

What are the student fees and what do they cover?

Upon acceptance to Excel Christian Academy, NEW families will pay a one-time $500 capital assessment fee for school and facility enhancement expenditures. A one-time payment may be made or may be payable over nine months. 
 
The Materials/Technology Fee is $350 for K-8th grade and $400 for 9th-12th grade. This fee covers all textbooks, classroom supplies, consumables, and technology resources and services to enhance student outcomes. The fee also covers the transportation for one local field trip per year. Cost of transportation for trips outside of Polk County will be incurred by the parent. Student entry fees will be incurred by the school.
